Christos is without a shadow of a doubt the best dentist in the whole wide world! My children and I have been going to him for years. Even when the children were little and one had a fear of the dentist he put them at ease and they looked forward to visiting him. So thorough. Never rushed. Makes you feel like you are important to him. Very caring.

This dental practice is excellent. I have been a patient here for many years. Christos is a brilliant dentist. He is very attentive and knowledgeable, making sure that you receive the very best care. Becky is amazing on the reception desk. She remembers everything and is excellent at following up with any extra details. I have also had implants fitted and I am very happy with them. In fact, all the staff are great. I am delighted with the dental care I have received over the years and continue to receive. Thank you ☺️

I have been a patient at Penwortham dental for over 30 years and I would never switch to another dentist after having had unpleasant experiences at other dentists before joining them. They are professional and attentive, the dental rooms are beautiful and relaxing overlooking a tranquil garden. I used to have a phobia of going to the dentist, but after a few different treatments it went away as I felt assured that they would take their time and ensure that I had adequate pain relief for any procedure. Whenever I need an appointment in an emergency they always fit me in promptly so that I don’t have to suffer at home with toothache. A wonderful dental practice with lovely staff.

I’ve yet to meet someone who enjoys going to the dentist… but at least here you will be well looked after, and your overall health including your teeth is well understood by knowledgeable staff. The receptionists are also fab, great at putting you at ease when you’re there for one of “those” visits!

I have been to Tooth Talk for a year, and the staff are great there. Very friendly and caring. The dentist check my teeth to make sure everything is ok. The place is extremely clean, tidy and smells so fresh. I would definitely recommend, as Tooth Talk is the best dentist I have been to.

FAQs

What are your opening times?2024-12-05T08:20:56+00:00

We are available for appointments 24 hours a day. While our standard operating times are between 7am and 11pm, we can still see you at anytime you like and are more than happy to book patients in 24 hours a day.

For appointments outside of our standard operating hours, we do charge a call out fee to be seen.

Please note:

The call out fee does include the cost for the consultation, X-rays and first line of treatment required to get you out of pain for one tooth. Treatments included can be complex extractions, composite fillings or even the first stage of a root canal to get you out of pain.

For any further information please don’t hesitate to call us on 07518 499 699.

Are you registering new patients?2024-12-05T08:30:59+00:00

Some home methods to treat tooth if you can’t access a dentist2023-03-03T10:39:50+00:00

Warm salt water rinses are very useful if you have swelling or some sort of infection, as salt water is a natural antiseptic and can reduce pain. Another temporary measure is taking over the counter painkillers as this will slightly reduce any pain. Always consult with a professional before taking any medication.

Why is tooth ache worse at night time?2023-03-03T10:40:36+00:00

Most people suffer from dental pain at night due to the position in which they are laying down, as blood rushes to the head and the pain or swelling in the tooth increases. To avoid this pain, we advise visiting the dentist as they will be able to take X-Rays and provide suitable treatment.

If I go to A&E with tooth ache will they treat me?2023-03-03T10:41:35+00:00

Unfortunately, toothache is not classed as a life threatening emergency so they will not be able to treat you.

However, if you have facial swelling that is affecting your ability to breathe then we advise you to visit A&E.

How to get emergency dental treatment on the NHS?2024-12-05T08:20:55+00:00

If you are registered with an NHS dentist you may be able to get a dentist appointment at your own dentist, however it may not be on the same day. Dental practices generally close at 5 pm so to get an NHS emergency dentist appointment may be difficult.

Out of hours NHS do provide emergency appointments but have very strict criteria such as persistent bleeding and unable to breathe or swallow due to swelling.

If this is the case your NHS dentist should have an alternate local number for you to call in the case of emergency.

Night and Day Emergency Dentist provides private treatment and promises to see you on the same day. You can contact one of the reception staff members on 07518 499 699 and get an appointment immediately.

We will do everything we can to help. You will be in complete charge of your treatment, so if you ever want us to stop you just wave at us and we stop. I am not registered does that matter?2023-06-08T11:22:17+00:00

How much will it cost?2023-06-08T11:23:00+00:00

There is an initial emergency consultation fee of £50.

Once we do special tests to see what is wrong with the tooth we always discuss all costs before treatment starts. There are no hidden costs.

I’m really nervous? What can you do?2023-06-08T11:23:30+00:00

We are an emergency dental service. So most of the time we see nervous patients. No one likes coming to the dentist. Once you speak to us on the phone we will reassure you and guarantee you won’t have to be nervous about anything. We work very relaxed and all of our patients (well most) really enjoy their time with us.
