I’m an NHS patient and I have always had great service and treatment. They recently responded quickly to a couple of emails with questions and got me a repeat prescription for my gum infection the following morning. Thanks very much to all at Penwortham Dental.

I had asked for a Nursery visit from a dentist to talk to the children about their job as we are doing about people that help us in the community. The practice was both efficient and reliable at getting back to me with great communication. Not only did a lovely dentist Jaya come but also a nurse called Sophie who were both excellent when talking to the children. They pitched the talk at the children’s level yet put across what their job entailed. Thank you so much Jaya and Sophie. The children even got stickers!! It’s difficult to find people who can take time out from their busy schedule, yet it is so important for the children. Thank you

I've been a patient at this practice since I was a small child and used to be with Mrs Cornall prior to her retirement. Since then I have been with Christos and Abi, and I can't recommend them highly enough. Both are friendly, thorough, and professional, and do their best to put you at ease, listen to you and discuss options. They are also very good with our anxious 7 year old. Becky on Reception is so helpful, friendly and efficient and has always done her best for us especially in an emergency situation (e.g. our son had an abscess just before Christmas). As a former Dental Practice Manager myself, I can see what a great team they are, and high standard of care and service they provide to all of our family! Thank you 😊

FAQs

We are available for appointments 24 hours a day. While our standard operating times are between 7am and 11pm, we can still see you at anytime you like and are more than happy to book patients in 24 hours a day.

For appointments outside of our standard operating hours, we do charge a call out fee to be seen.

Please note:

The call out fee does include the cost for the consultation, X-rays and first line of treatment required to get you out of pain for one tooth. Treatments included can be complex extractions, composite fillings or even the first stage of a root canal to get you out of pain.

For any further information please don’t hesitate to call us on 07518 499 699.

If you’re in pain, it’s an emergency. You can also visit our emergency dentist if you have chipped, cracked or knocked out a tooth. We also help patients who have lost fillings, crowns, veneers or bridges. If you’ve broken or lost your denture, this is also an emergency. And finally, if you have recently had an extraction and you’re still in pain or the extraction site won’t stop bleeding.

The first step for dealing with a dental emergency is to call our team on 07518 499 699. We can advise you on home care methods while you wait to see an emergency dentist.

Remember that we are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, so you won’t be waiting long to see a dentist.

To book a same day appointment in Acton, please call us on 07518 499 699. Alternatively, you can email us on preston@nightanddaydentist.co.uk or message us via WhatsApp.

No registration is required. The majority of our consultations are emergencies, and there is no requirement to be a registered patient to see our dentist. After your emergency appointment, you can return to your registered dentist for follow-up treatment.

However, if you do not have a dentist and want to be seen, you can contact us on 07518 499 699 to get booked in.

Warm salt water rinses are very useful if you have swelling or some sort of infection, as salt water is a natural antiseptic and can reduce pain. Another temporary measure is taking over the counter painkillers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen, as this will slightly reduce any pain. Always consult with a professional before taking any medication.

Most people suffer from dental pain at night as blood flow to the head increases when you lie down to sleep. This causes pain from the swelling to increase. To help manage this pain, we recommend seeing a dentist as soon as possible to diagnose the issue with X-rays and create a treatment plan.

Unfortunately, toothache is not classed as a life threatening emergency so they will not be able to treat you. However, if you have any swelling that is affecting your ability to breathe, then we advise you to visit A&E.

The team at Night & Day Emergency Dentist are all experts in working with nervous patients to help them to overcome their phobias. We ensure that we provide a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere to avoid any additional anxiety. If you’ve had a bad experience with a dentist in the past, we want to help you to overcome your phobia.

We will do everything we can to help. For example, if you are feeling anxious during the treatment and need us to stop, you can simply wave your hand and we’ll give you a moment. We carry out all treatments at the pace that suits the patient and strive to provide a comforting experience. We also explain all of the treatment options so you can make an informed decision about the right treatment path for you.

There is a £50 consultation fee, which includes X-rays, examination and diagnosis of your dental emergency. Additional treatment will be at a further cost. Treatment can be completed on the same day.

Yes, we regularly see patients from abroad as they have no dentist here. We welcome all patients; no registration is required. Just give us a call on 07518 499 699 and get booked in!
